process: Every collage in this deck requires cycles of painting, cutting, sorting, and glueing paper. Three wings had a heavy focus on sorting, with the concept that cuts of paper, varying in color and texture, come from different universes. Pieces of paper from worlds alike were glued next to, and on-top of one another. The outlines of three peregrine falcons were sketched to guide the collage making process, in pencil, on black A3 paper. The concept of this work was to have two reversed spectrums of color that alternate by climbing up and reaching down, with the red starting on the bird at the bottom, and red, warm colors starting as the background on the top. The birds became cool in color as they reached higher, whereas the colors of the background became cooler whilst reaching down. The middle bird is hidden in plain sight.
