process: The background of this work was an A3 paper containing the empress and emperor linocut, one covering the top half and bottom half. Then this was glued to another A3 paper with the emperor and empress linocut. A silver circle was glued in the center of one side. Then, the linocut that didn’t end up being used, carved to be queen wildflowers, which was printed in purple ink on green paper, was cut into a spiral and these two spirals were placed on the front and back of this reversible artwork. Linocut prints of a falcon Heru that were printed in black and white and orange and white, were used to create waves with one flat edge to stick to the edges of the paper. The planetary body was painted over in silver and the background was painted orange and silver. Leaves cut from the Heru linocut print were glued to radiate from the sun.
