process: Acrylic paint was used to build up the background: an energetic river. The bobcat was formed in yellow and crimson acrylic paints, then white-out, posca pen, and paint marker. Bobcat was inspired by a dream of a huge forest containing an abundantly flowing stream. There were amphibious beings, hop-walking in direction of the current, a river in front, moving to the left. Contrasting all else in motion, an ancient bobcat sat in the river’s water. The bobcat was staring, soul to soul, emanating timeless wisdom. This painting was inspired by the bobcat, as a reminder of humanity’s unbreakable bond with nature.

Dreams to reality: Bobcat was inspired by a vision dreamt in 2023 of a ginormous prehistoric forest containing an abundantly flowing stream. There were amphibious beings who were partly blue colored, sharing eerie similarities with a fish and a squirrel combined. Groups of around three hop-walked in direction of the current, a river in front, moving to the left. Contrasting all else in motion, an ancient bobcat, sat in the river’s water. The bobcat was staring, soul to soul, emanating deep, timeless wisdom. This painting attempts to capture the feeling of seeing the bobcat in the river, serving as a reminder that humanity’s bond with nature is unbreakable, innate, and natural.
