artistic process: This dynamic mixed media artwork was created using acrylic paint, sharpies, and various markers on canvas. A multitude of lines, patterns, textures, mediums, and colors form a grassy, flower filled riverscape and shoreline, that merges into a flamboyant sky. This captures a beautiful sunset coagulating, which means changing from a solid to a semi solid state, and merging in an epic way, as if the colors were making sounds. The initial layer was painted while having a sleepover with my friend, resulting in a funky scene with a phone legged spider. In the days following this, I crafted a flowery landscape, filling color and patterns in any white spaces, to craft this vibrant scene.
